Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola praised midfielder Jude Bellingham's significant impact on his team, which has been different from last season.
Bellingham, who signed with Real Madrid for around 103 million euros, has scored 20 goals and assisted nine for the Spanish team in all competitions.
Guardiola acknowledged the challenge of playing for Real Madrid, but emphasized the importance of focusing on his own performance. The Champions League quarterfinals will take place on April 9-10 and April 16-17.
After his team was set to play Real Madrid in the Champions League quarterfinals, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola stated that his team is different from last season because of midfielder Jude Bellingham's "obvious" effect.
In the previous season's Champions League semi-finals, holders City defeated the 14-time champions, drawing 1-1 away and winning a decisive 4-0 at the Etihad in the second leg.
Over the course of the season, Bellingham, who cost around 103 million euros ($112.1 million) to sign with Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund, has scored 20 goals and assisted nine for the Spanish team in all competitions.
When questioned on Friday about the top La Liga scorer, the City manager said to reporters, "Bellingham's impact has been massive." This is not the same squad as it was last year. He clearly has influence; therefore, we need to figure out how he manages it."
